Support for Parents Troubled by their Young Person's Behaviour


TOUGHLOVE
The Sunshine Coast TOUGHLOVE Parent Support Group, in collaboration with TOUGHLOVE Queensland, is offering a full-day workshop for parents who are struggling to find an effective response to their teens’ unacceptable behaviour.

When: 9am - 4.30pm Saturday, 31st July 2010

Where: Kanjini Centre, Mountain Creek State School

Registration Fees: Individual $40, Family couple $50 - (earlybird discount $5/booking before 16th July, 2010)

This workshop aims to deliver information, strategies and support, to parents facing the challenge of unacceptable behaviour from their young people, and to underpin the efforts of caring parents to do the most important job of their life.

Any concerned adult, working with youth at risk, who is interested in learning more about this valuable community resource, is also encouraged to attend.

Regional meetings in general

Every parent support group sends members to present the results of last meeting's Action Plan and to develop a new plan for the next quarter. Regional meetings are usually scheduled for the first Saturday, every three months:

  • 1st Saturday, February
  • 1st Saturday, May
  • 1st Saturday, August
  • 1st Saturday, November

Management Committee Meetings

TOUGHLOVE doesn't run itself. It takes a group of dedicated parents a few hours each quarter to keep the organisation running. Each year the committee members are elected at Annual General Meeting. Any interested TOUGHLOVE member is welcome to attend a committee meeting. Please contact your TOUGHLOVE representative for more details.

These meetings are usually scheduled for the second Saturday, every three months:
  • 2nd Saturday, January
  • 2nd Saturday, April
  • 2nd Saturday, July
  • 2nd Saturday, October
